We worked with Emma during the birth of our third child and whole heartedly recommend her doula services. She was a great fit for me and my partner, as she always provided balanced information and input that stemmed from science-based expertise as well as her years in the field. She has an amazing ability to enable you to make your own decisions throughout the pregnancy and birthing process — based on your preferences and goals. She was attentive, timely, and creative, despite the covid complications that plagued our delivery process. Her herbalism knowledge was top notch: she made customized remedies and teas for various pregnancy and postpartum ailments - a real value add. Whether or not you are planning a natural delivery or c-section, Emma’s knowledge and experience will serve you well!

Emma and I first spoke when I was only about 6 weeks pregnant, and instead of judging me for being Type A and reaching out so early, she greeted me with warmth and excitement. As we worked together over the next few months, Emma continued to impress me. Not only was she beyond patient when I asked approximately 8000 questions, she was also genuinely enthusiastic about providing me with answers – her passion for this work is palpable. Her patience continued as she accompanied us through a full 42 weeks of pregnancy and a 36 hour labor – she’s educated on all things (literally: she was never stumped no matter what came up!), able to use her knowledge to keep us calm and informed through all decision-making, AND fully present even with minimal sleep: she’s an amazing asset to have by your side (literally!). Thanks to Emma, my long pregnancy and labor were remarkably less scary and more enjoyable, which is a priceless gift to have. Hiring her was one of the best decisions I made in my journey into motherhood and I can’t recommend her highly enough.
