They say they'll call you back, and they don't for WEEKS so you have to call them repeatedly. You can leave tons of voicemails to a direct line they gave you but they'll never get back to you unless you call the main line. Then they'll transfer you and force someone to FINALLY talk to you. Then you make an appointment for surgery and they call you the day before saying everything is all set and they'll see you the next day. Great! Then they call a few hours later CANCELLING because there's a "problem with the referral"??? Even though it was confirmed hours before that it all went through???? Then they say they'll call back to re-schedule an appointment and don't for weeks AGAIN so once again you're forced to call and call and try to talk to SOMEONE so you can finally get your surgery you've been waiting months for. UPDATE: 2 months later: STILL TRYING TO SCHEDULE SURGERY. They keep saying they'll get back to you. They don't. Ever. They "schedule" another surgery for you, then cancel it again. UPDATE: ANOTEHR 2 months later: STILL TRYING TO SCHEDULE.

A. Amazing staff. Our experiences have been the topic of conversation on the ride home. Dr. Li and Dr. Chadi Tannoury are the surgeons we have had the good fortune to work with.

I had a spinal fusion a few years ago. All was well . I then developed an subsequent issue. Does not seem as though my surgeon, who I liked, or his PA take my pain or that issues seriously. I was told to go to PT & take OTC pn meds even though I've already done both and have been dealing with this for a while now. I was given no follow up appointment after my last visit. The problem is getting increasingly worse. Plus I a can barely walk. I am going to a specialist tomorrow for a second opinion & potential surgery at New England Baptist Sports Medicine. And Yes! They are open on Saturdays. 11/15/18 Follow Up I was seen at NE Baptist because a developed a condition called drop foot subsequent to spinal fusion surgery at BMC. The BMC doctors surgeons did not want to acknowledge their error. I saw Dr Kenneth Leavitt @ NE Baptist who confirmed I had partial paralysis due to my previous surgery but assured me he could fix it. I had surgery on 07/12/18 and even though I was still in a cast, I felt strength that I did not have before two week after. Recovery is a long process. Cast for 6-8 wks, currently in a boot and starting PT this Saturday. I will able to walk and wear my heels again by summer of 2019. :) I do not recommend BMC ortho for back surgery! They will not help with complications following surgery@!
