Always find a good deal here. Stay is awesome and you're likely to find someone working who can give you advice on gear or whatever you need help with or they'll find someone who can answer your question. I never feel pushed into buying anything, and there's always awesome deals on clearance items or returns. Both the Boston and the north shore locations are fantastic

If you are an outdoor person you'll go crazy when you enter the store. They have all the equipment for hiking, camping, backpacking, cycling etc. You name it they have it. I went for a session on backcountry camping an learned a good deal of information. It's very hard to resist not to buy anything when you see the goodies. Recommend for any outdoor person. The prices are not cheap so does the quality. But you get what you pay for. Check it out if you want to have your first campaign trip or backpacking trip.
Can get quite crowded in non-COVID times but they have a 35-customer max now for a huge store, so these days it’s over-staffed and a great shopping experience. No more curbside delivery, which is a bummer. But the usual selection and excellent service you’d find at other REI locations.
The staff is simply the best. The guys are well versed in their product. Even if they don't have what you are looking for, they will offer you a worthy alternative.
