Gorgeous winter walk through the park, past the Frog Pond ice rink and up to the monument for stunning sunset and views of the city.
TO THE MEN OF BOSTON WHO DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY ON LAND AND SEA IN THE WAR WHICH KEPT THE UNION WHOLE DESTROYED SLAVERY AND MAINTAINED THE CONSTITUTION THE GRATEFUL CITY HAS BUILT THIS MONUMENT THAT THEIR EXAMPLE MAY SPEAK TO COMING GENERATIONS
Great place to take the family and teach some of our history
Heroic! A commanding location on the crest of the hill on the Boston Common, wonderful metal sculptures and bas reliefs. The Memorial Flag Garden is very moving, 37,000 individual flags laid out from the Monument down the slope.
