Stayed there while my child was at Boston Children's Hospital. Nothing spectacular. But, staff was courteous and the location to the hospital was perfect. The price is high. We arrived one night prior to surgery and stayed at the Intercontinental on Atlantic Ave (on the harbor) for less. Wish they would do something about that seeing that most people I spoke with were parents of children in the hospital or staff. If it weren't for the location, I would have stayed elsewhere.
Overpriced and nothing special other than the convenience of being 1 block from the hospital and having the food court and CVS in the same building (Longwood Grill does have great food). Small basic room, hot water is hit or miss, you can hear everything in the next room and the “medical rate” is a joke. My wife and son have been at Children’s for 3 months and we have at least a few weeks left if not longer - this is a very stressful time for us. I come down every weekend to be with them - I dealt with the high price so I can be close to the hospital but the price went up as of March 1st and that was the final straw for me, the price was bad enough before the price increase and I will not stay here again. We found a much nicer hotel - bigger room with a full kitchen less than 10min down the road that doesn’t take advantage of parents with sick kids and they actually have a good medical rate.
The room is comfortable, and the location is absolutely outstanding. Angel and one of the ladies at the front desk were so very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, there were a lot of different long strands of hair throughout the bedsheets and blankets, and even more in the bath towels. But the hallways are nicely decorated, and it’s nice that they had free water bottles at the front desk.
Had to stay there as I was having a procedure at the hospital. Very clean. Big size room. Easy walk to the hospital.
I was looking for a place near Dana Farber for early morning surgery. I was incredibly impressed with this Inn. It is newly renovated, and extremely clean. The staff is very Covid concerned and careful. A special thank you to David, our concierge, who went over and above helping us get situated. David even helped my husband get our bags back to the parking garage after I was admitted. I would DEFINITELY stay at the Inn at Longwood Medical again, if the need ever arises. I have already recommended it to my friends here on Cape Cod. You will be pleasantly surprised. Good luck all!
My wife and I recently stayed a week at the hotel. As our Grandaughter was having surgery at the Children’s Hospital. We would like to say Thank You to the staff. The housekeeping was friendly and helpful. And the staff at the restaurant was very helpful and really nice, the food was excellent. They had take out, which was very helpful with Covid. We took advantage of this. We would like to recognize a beautiful lady Griselle, she always had a smile and wonderful words of encouragement. Her kind words and prayers is what we needed. Staff was professional. Room was not sanitized even after asking for the cleaning people to disinfect the countertops. You would think a place known for people using to stay while a loved one is being treated at the local hospitals would take the additional precautions during CORONAVIRUS.
