During my visit to US, Niagara Falls and Thousand Islands were visited using the services of Travel Pack. That was on 22nd 23rd July of 2017. I travelled with my wife and son and started off from Boston China Town at 7am - I 90 W route. We reached Niagara around 3.45pm am spent around 4 hours around the place. The sunset was around 8.30 during that period and so it was advantageous for us. Our night stay was at ‘Super 8’ @. 202 Oak St; Batavia, which was arranged by the tour agency (included in the ticket fare). It was a very good stay there. On the following morning, after having had our snacks and tea (also included in the fare), we returned after visiting Thousand Islands - I 81 N- and reached Boston around 8pm. Got down at the same point from where we had boarded the bus. While going to Niagara, the stop for lunch was at the Rest Area Chittenango (Oneida County) and while returning on the following day, our lunch was from the ‘Daily Buffet’ @ 4524 St Highway 58, Gouverneur NY. It was a Chinese hotel where vegetable fruits were available in plenty if one were a pure vegetarian. Distance one way- 525 miles. 8 h 10 m as per Google. Total coverage 1050 miles. Add the extra distance to the Thousand Islands of about 180 M to and fro. Total bus fare for two persons was 350.00 but, one more could travel for the same fare. That was a discount given by the Travel Pack. Though I do not know the norms, they are doing great services that way in my view. Promotion of travel and tourism could be their intention. The driving was very swift and without any hitch. Very comfortable seats. As far as I can remember, he was a young man but seemed to have enough experience along the route. Our travel guide on the bus was a young Chinese lady who was very smart and professional and so we had no problem on the way. It was a memorable trip for me and my family provided by Travel Pack Agency.
An over 20 years experienced travel agency & tour company, they sell discounted international air tickets, cruises and asian tours. They also runs own bus tours to Washington DC New York etc. Bus charter available. Very Good service!!!
1. The bus was very bad. The feel was almost like a truck with no suspension and seats jammed against each other. No phone charging points, no wifi, no toilet. 2. Tour guide was rude and did not speak English for us to understand. 3. Globerouter tricked us with charges. For example: a. Niagara Night illumination is a free attraction. We were charged 6 per head and that was mandatorily imposed while booking the tour. b. Thousand island cruise charge is 19 while we were charged 27 c. They stop for lunch or dinner only at Chinese places probably where they have tie up with (not sure). 4. The night stay was an hour away from Niagara which does not make any sense. However that is their discretion, nevertheless they promised 'Holiday Inn or similar', not only it was similar but there was no comparison. 5. Overall was a poor tour and do not recommend to anybody
