Good beer, but the place is kinda small and seating is tough to find. Have someone save your seat if you find one. But as I mentioned, the beer is really good, worth standing for.

Some of the best beer in Boston in an amazing space. The Roslindale Substation is a former electric streetcar warehouse which has been beautifully restored by the community. Pints here are expensive, ranging from 5-13, but worth the trip. Street parking is easy in the square across the street and the craft beer retail store in the basement stocks the most hard to find beers from around the world.

Awesome for the neighborhood! Always a good time with a great selection of beers. Run into old friends all the time who drive in from other parts of town. Hope they keep their lease for the long haul. As others say, if it’s crowded it gets really loud really fast. But, what do you expect from an old AC/DC facility that hasn’t been used in 50 years? Just have to be understanding of what they’re working with. I read someone’s review just now saying that there were too many kids... well, I have to say that’s a huge plus for us. We get to meet more families in the area and make new friends every time we go. This place is a community venue that has a solid community feeling of warmth and acceptance for everyone.
Amazing beer in a really cool and unique building. The beer is reasonably priced for the quality and the variety is also really good.
What a delight this was for the few months it existed. Something sort of postmodern medieval about it. Everybody came from the neighborhood and hung out. Every time we visited parents were holding birthday parties for their little kids while laughing over some beers. This was a clear Roslindale gem.
