This place blew my mind the day I signed up. They are partnered with truly the kindest of staff of any clinic i have ever been to--and I've been to my fair share. The dentists are equally kind and actually spend TIME with you. But they aren't just nice, they provide a gloriously refreshing alternative to health insurance. I am happy to feel cared for and proud to be a part of such a great model of health care. I recommend Universal Dental Plan for anyone tired of battling insurance companies. They even welcome chronic illness!

I discovered that UDP at the end of the contract year automatically billed my credit card for another year without any notice to me. I am in the process of disputing it and have notified my credit card company. If UDP doesn't resolve this I will take it to the Attorney General's Office. Beware of their Billing Practices. UPDATE: They did respond to a Voicemail I left and have cancelled my account. I told them I did not appreciate a billing to my Credit Card without authorization. They claimed to have emailed me. I never received an email and if I did I should have had the option to renew or cancel. I was also not impressed with the limited number of participating Dentists in my area, especially Endodontists. Update 11/24/17....today I received their notice of renewal.......8 days after they billed me for the renewal. They did refund me, but without reservation I would caution against wasting money. Their specialists are really limited and specialists who seem to be hard up for referrals.

One of the risks that you encounter being a professional musician is the difficulty of finding dental insurance. All of us in the community know of several people who have been crushed financially by a medical emergency they had no protection against. U
