There is a well established arboretum with some very rare trees and a great ecological area at the back. A good place for nature lovers and a picnic.

Although not the biggest I've seen, the botanical Garden in Rostock is definitely worth a visit. There are tours on most sundays that are led by students of the faculty for biology in Rostock. I've not yet got to see the garden in summer but it is going to be nice I believe. In autumn you can bring your freshly picked mushrooms from the forest to get some help in identifying them or to learn about many other wild mushrooms growing in the area.

Well maintained and worth coming by. The only disappointment is a road nearby which doesn't allow to enjoy the beauty in silence
