When I got there it was packed and this was at around 10:30am. I went there to collect my daughter's birth certificate and my passport. As I entered the building I was told to go and queue at counter 1. At counter 1 I was assisted, thereafter I was told to go stand in another queue (for more than 30min) so that I could be given a number. After been given this number for collection, it is here I was told to go back to counter 1. Only to find out that I wasn't meant to even be there but counter 7 for payment. Stood in another queue to make payment. It is during this time that their system went offline. I felt so much sorrow and pity for the elderly that was there and had to go back home without being assisted. "There is absolutely NOTHING we can do". Well I was eventually assisted but I left that place HUNGRY, ANGRY AND DISSAPPOINTED and this was at around 15:00.

I commend the staff of home affairs in Botshabelo. The staff was friendly and efficient. You don't stand in queues for long. Besides the department being busy I was helped within an hour and a half. I received my smart card within 3 days of applying for it. Keep up the good work people.
