My instructor/guide Jill and the team were very communicative in the time leasing up to my actual training. They asked numerous questions to ensure I was going to have the experience that my girlfriend and I were after based on our specific skill level and future plans. Definitely not a one size fits all approach, which was greatly appreciated. The actual training was enjoyable, informative, and exactly what we had in mind to help us gain skills, increase our confidence, and help us expand our engagement of the outdoors safely. I appreciate the professionalism, the depth of knowledge of the trainer, and the safety protocols followed per the pandemic. With this training completed, we are looking forward to planning our next trips!

My dad and I traveled to Colorado recently and wanted to do some climbing. I'm a relatively experienced climber, but he has never been. Right before our trip, he decided he wanted to give it a try. I was apprehensive about leading this excursion, especially because i didn't know the area along with my dad's lack of experience. CWRAG was the perfect solution. They provided the gear, a knowledgeable guide, and planned everything out. Instead of me stressing over these things, we were able to enjoy the outdoors and my dad climbed his first crag! Our guide, Chip, was fantastic. He taught us about the local ecology, belayed for us, encouraged us, and was all around an awesome dude. I would definitely recommend CWRAG if you're looking for a stress free adventure and/or don't necessarily have the means to pull it off on your own.

Course was well organized from pre-work to Zoom lectures to actual on-mountain days. Course increased my confidence in identifying avalanche terrain and reinforced the incredible risk that avalanches pose in the Colorado mountains (see persistent slabs). AIARE 1 was a thorough intro to contour maps, inclinometers, avalanche forecasts, weather forecasts, and route planning as well as basic safety essentials (beacon, shovel, probe).

Our guide Alex was the best!! He definitely knows the clear creek well and make the ride a lot of fun. We went on beginner level even though the kids wanted to go on intermediate (regardless of the fact they do not have any experience). The kids agreed there was a good amount of white water that made it fun. The water was 38degrees on a 90 degree day. We got the package with the wet suits and were happy we did!!

We had such a great time with a sightseeing trip with Colorado Wilderness Rides and Guides. Brad who was our guide in this trip was so nice, polite, and informative. He was also flexible in customizing our trip plan. There were plenty of water and food that the tour prepared for us. The sandwiches were delicious and we also came across many wildlife like elk, marmot, and eagle within that eight hours!
