Awful service. The organization is incompetent, uncaring, and refuses to take any responsibility for getting things done (nothing is their fault or their problem). Don't expect them to lift a finger to follow up on anything. The right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. Funeral \director\ did nothing and doesn't respond to emails requesting death certificates ....which I still haven't received in a month. Find someplace else...they make things difficult...as if it's not hard enough to bury a loved one.

Be careful if you plan to purchase pre-paid funeral services here. My cousin's late husband purchased it for them 14 years ago. He passed away in 2012. She has since relocated to a western state. Requested refund of her portion of the pre-paid amount have been met with stalling. They stated that they would refund the over 2,000 which was pre-paid for the preparation services, but that they were not required, by Florida law, to refund the over 2,000 which was pre-paid for the casket, since they \ can still deliver it\. She will now be cremated and has no use for the casket. They've had use of that money for 14 years. People move and plans change. They should refund all monies pre-paid, so she can pay for her new final plans. This is a disgrace! So, Claire, The Operations Director responded saying basically, that they care about their customers. But privacy rules bar them from discussing individual cases. She requested that my cousin call her directly. Immediately after she posted that response, I called the number. I asked for her and the person answering the phone stated that she was out on the property. But that she would take a message and definitely give it to her. I stated that I was my cousin's Power of Attorney, which document I would gladly email to her, if requested. I made that call on March 4th. This is the 7th. So much for caring about their customers. Continued stalling. We originally requested the refund, in a certified letter, over a month ago. If I hadn't called 3 weeks ago, to follow up, I still wouldn't have received a reply from them. Stay away from this business at all costs. A death in the family is difficult enough. Don't make it worse by dealing with money-hungry funeral directors!

I visited my wife at the cemetery who was buried on August 25th 2019. I asked Beverly Bernstein a couple of questions and she went with me to the place where my wife is buried.. Beverly was so helpful and had a great personality and great advice....

Oh My! What a place! Five stars are not enough! My dear cousin passed away some time back in 2016 and was cremated. His cremains were with his widow and she wanted them buried. Because my cousin was a veteran he was entitled to burial at the South Florida National Cemetery. I called Beth Israel because they had facilitated the cremation. That call led to an appointment with Kenneth M. Kay, Chapel Manager and Funeral Director. What a mensch! Truly. It felt like I had run into an old and dear friend. He was kind, gentle, warm, and most of all effective! Within less than a week, my cousin was laid to rest with full military honors! Ken's knowledge of \the system\ and skill in managing it, was so important. My cousin was 99 when he passed. His widow is 95. To see the service today, flag folding by uniformed Army officers, Taps played. Oh my! Thank you Ken! Your kindness, your knowledge and your ability to be a friend to the family when you stood to make not a penny off of this ceremony, speaks volumes about you and your funeral home. God forbid people need a funeral director, YOU are the one to see. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Bless you.
