After I returned the vehicle at 7:08pm last night (Bozeman location closed at 7pm), the webapp to return the truck kept locking up and refusing to work. I tried multiple different browsers, and was never able to progress beyond submitting the photo of the odometer. I ended up on the phone with Uhaul support for 40 minutes (in -15 degree weather), and as nice as the lady was they were not able to help me at all. I saw employees inside who kept looking over at me, but ignored me politely knocking on the door, and then they walked out directly past the truck, made eye contact with me, and then drove away leaving me to fight with the non-functioning app in sub-zero temperatures. It ended up taking longer to return the truck than the time I actually used it for a cross-town run, and at every step along the way Uhaul was either unable or unwilling to help. A poor showing by the company all around. If you make the mistake of renting here, be warned.

Great service. Riley set me up for a brake controller. He spoke very highly of his install crew in his 7th Street Bozeman location. Amazing customer service! When the parts arrived and I set my appointment for installation Sam was super! Installation was amazing and I was able to purchase a wireless controller that made everything much easier for everybody. Technology upgrade! Thank you to everybody at U-Haul 7th Street Bozeman location, five stars!

Never use this UHaul, by far the worst one in Montana, maybe in the country. Expect threats, harassment, and to have your account billed double by the sneaky manager, Donald Whitford, if you point this out. U-haul corporate will do nothing to help you, so for your sanity while moving, go literally anywhere else.
I made an appointment to get a hitch installed at 7 am today - about 2 weeks ahead of time because they had to order the hitch. The local store is too busy to answer the phone, so the calls go to the call center. The call center made the appointment and said the hitch install would take 90 minutes maximum, so I arrived at 7, expecting to be able to get to work by 9. After I got there, the guy said they would need to keep the car all day and I could come back around 6pm and that I could rent a truck if I needed to leave. He also said that the call center regularly makes appointments that the location doesn’t honor. What?!
Made an appointment ahead of time for 8:30am. Was asked if it was a “drop-off”... nope, that’s why I made an appointment. Was told “my hitch guy won’t be here until 9am. I check back at 10am, guy hasn’t even started the hitch install. Told to come back in 1.5 hours. Came back 2 hours later and still waiting. It’s is now 1:30pm. 5 hours to wait WITH an appointment.
Super nice guys work here. We rented auto transport in seattle. Had issue with the tire. Pulled in and guys took care of it fast and efficient. Thank you very much.
On a cross country trip with my daughter pulling a uhaul trailer for the first time. The chain began dragging and scaring us. We pulled into the uhaul in Bozeman and Don, the general manager, helped us right away and made us feel secure again for the rest of our drive to Tennessee. Thank you thank you!
