It was Tuesday 13 April '21: Day 2 of lockdown being lifted. Outdoor only seating. Staff were lovely. Food-wise, it's never going to be a gastronomical delight, but I've given it 5-stars due to the efforts by the staff.

Very good social distancing in place here, table service worked very well. All in all a comfortable and safe experience. The food was served fresh and hot. Portion size was good and the fries were crispy. They could do with some ales on tap!

had a nice pub meal. I enjoyed mine but my husband said it was too dry?! my 5 year old loved the soft play but did feel grubby in there.Nice old pub but need more people to remove glasses and plates.

Today was not as good as it should have been... Staff had to ask what was available Sunday dinners wise.... The portions of mash...cauliflower cheese .. swede and carrots mashed together were like literally one table spoon each and very poor.nit to mention warm not hot.. Absolutely shocking ... We ended up giving food off our plates to my son as he didn't like what came with the dinner... And for 10 per plate ..it was not red hot either ..just warm to touch .. same for the thin layer of gravy.... It was like Been served a primary school dinner.... My son was cold today sat there so I gave him my coat to get warm as it was not that warm whilst sat waiting for our food .. it was very uninviting today ... The bill was processed then taken back to amend as a pudding price was needing to be removed... And a couple of gents sat near us sent there food back as it was cold too.. very unacceptable for this venue.. Sorry but you really need to improve right now ... Serving food that's not hot enough... And the very poor portions .. and lacking in Sunday dinner quality is just not what we expected ... It cost us just over 40 today and we left the puddings instead of ordering them . I hope if we return in future that you have sorted out the issues ... Very bad dining experience today . .. and below standard .

Been twice since it reopened and everything is on point, food was divine and the service was exceptional. The staff are polite and helpful. I'd recommend this place to anyone.
