This is an amazing old monastic stone barn which was built in the 14th century....It is one of the largest medieval barns in England,It is steeped in history back in medieval times it was part of Manor Farm which belonged to Shaftesbury Abbey in Dorset....It was suppressed in 1539 meaning it came to an end then passed into private hands and was part of a working farm up until 1914.....Now this magnificent structure is open for everyone to enjoy & is well worth a look around the internal wooden beams are a excellent example of medieval craftsmanship....This is a must see if you are in the lovely picturesque Town of Bradford on Avon.....

Fabulous example of a tithe barn surrounded by great gift shops and a craft centre. Plenty of space to wander and sit out with easy access to the canal. A must see.
Very interesting to learn about the history of the Tithe Barn. Such a vast & well built barn considering the age with it's original roof .
Excellent gift shop. So good it is wise to keep your wife away.
It's a same it's closed at the moment but still a great place to walk around the grounds
