For some reason my review disappeared that I did last year around May/June (2019). Anyways so people know what they are potentially getting themselves into I will repeat. My husband and I were buying a home, we found a home. Set up the home inspection, which came back with tons of red flags, We talked to our Coldwell banker agent. This person told us we could not get out of the contract. "We would lose our earnest money and potentially be sued" I was also told by the Coldwell Banker realtor to lie to my lender and say the home inspection went great. Instead of lieing to my lender I told he lender everything on the home inspection. My lender got me in contact with a real estate lawyer. This lawyer stated that what the Coldwell Banker realtor did and said after the home inspection was unethical practice. The Lawyer told me what I had to do to get out of the contract at this point. The lawyer stated we had time after the home inspection to get out of the contract. The Coldwell Banker realtor never said we could just walk away. Instead saying we would lose our earnest money and possibly sued. We got out of the contract and severed ties with the Coldwell Banker realtors. I am not naming this person but this person should know whom I am speaking of. Know your rights before buying your first home. Never lie to your lender if asked by a realtor. You should walk away if major redflags are pointed out during your home inspection ' I still have all of the records aka, voicemails, emails, etc. I also reported this to the BBB after all of this transpired. Also the paperwork to report this to the association of Realtors as the lawyer suggested I do
