I love this place and it's been a real refuge for me during lock down. The other day I went when the February sun had decided to make an appearance and the birds were singing so loudly, it was like being in a tropical gardens somewhere. And if you keep your eyes pealed, you'll be sure to see a Robin or two.

A beautiful place to walk round or just have a sit down with a coffee etc from the cafe. Also great place for children.

Beautiful public gardens well maintained and constantly improved. There is an abundance of trees and shrubs of various kinds with information boards to enlighten us. I particularly like the small monument to HMS Kite a ship adopted by B&B but sadly was sunk during WW2 with all hands lost. The small children's playground is very good with a variety of play equipment and there is an independent snack bar within the grounds too. All in all well worth a visit or a short stroll through on your way into Braintree.town centre. Sadly no cyclists or dogs allowed but we can't have everything. There are also a number of concerts, movie shows and Gigs throughout the summer circumstances permitting. Very good local facility for recreation.
