I rarely write reviews but my experience of Brakes service staff today encouraged me to do so....In explanation I had a new Ford Ranger Raptor delivered to me to day from a dealership in the north. However it quickly showed up a major fault which needed Ford assistance. Without any forward preparation I called into Brakes to see if they could help regardless of the fact the vehicle was not supplied by them. I was met by Steve who without hesitation took the vehicle into the workshop after a brief explanation. This was done without hesitation or reservation! I was made welcome by Amy and Jane in the service centre and the vehicle was diagnosed and back to me in less than 15 minutes (a lose cable connection)! The level of service was exemplary and a true reflection of a family run business. My sincere thanks to what is a fantastic dealership and to Debbie for a kind listening ear.....Michael

Exellent experience from all of the service staff at Brakes. Really good communication, the mechanic who worked on my car spent time to talk me through what had been done. Very impressed throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending Brakes, thank you.

I was told my part would be ready to pick up 9am next day. I arrived to pick it up and was told it had not arrived. I then told them I would pick up on Saturday he then told me they close at 1pm. When I got there they was closed. 30.00 of fuel later i now have it. They need to get a grip this is not how you treat customers.

Sadly not a positive experience at all on my previous visit. Had four new tyres ( from Brakes fitted last March (2019) before my full service & MOT also carried out by Brakes. When it came to my Service & MOT this year I was shocked to find that ALL 4 tyres came back as an advisory because of cracks in the threads. When I complained I was told by Stacey it was only an Advisory, even though I had only done 7,000 miles with them. I wanted them all replaced, but was told that was impossible as I’d used them!..6 DAYS later after several phone calls they agreed to replace & balance the tyres at no cost to me. I felt Stacey didn’t take my concerns very serious & struggled to see the problem. Maybe some customer relations training for her could be beneficial & my issue ongoing for 6 DAYS could have averted. Big enough to cope... ...small enough to care Um..
