Keep doing your job guys don't worry about anything anyone else says I don't mean to be rude whenever other people see this comment but if your loved one or you have been in there. there was obviously a reason. It's not hard don't cause any problems and stay out of trouble and you won't have to worry about a place like this.

My husband has been here for almost 2 years now. He said here recently that they've been really petty about stupid, trivial things. I sent him a 10 valentines day card & they wouldn't give it to him. It was an innocent, loving gesture! I can only assume they threw it away. I know contraband gets in that way but he has a good record there. He isn't a trouble maker. You can tell when items like that have been tampered with. I would never attempt to do something like that! I don't even have a record! I've also sent him pictures that they wouldn't let him have where I'm fully dressed, nothing sexual & they just threw them away. I've spent so much & time since he's been incarcerated. It's ridiculous. Now they've been on 23 hour lockdown for almost 3 weeks b/c of 2 other inmates who fought over gambling & a few others aiding their combat. I can hear the CO's yelling at them when I'm on the phone with my babe. He can only call me once between 5pm-6pm; the hour he's allowed out. I know they must do their jobs & I understand the problems & people that they must deal with in their line of work, but some of them go beyond their job duties in a negative way. Give a fool a small amount of power & they take it to their heads. I think they just have big heads & like to exert their power on anyone they can for any given reason. Not all of them are terrible, but most of them are. I will say they seem to feed the inmates well & that they are adequately taken care of given that they are inmates but that's the only positive. My man is almost 300 miles away & he should be getting released soon. I can only hope I'll be picking him up here in about a month or so & I can take him far away from all that nonsense.

I was detained at Meade County Jail for 2 day's, the CO's actually treat you like a person, the officer's, nursing staff, everyone very pleasant, easy to understand,and very professional. VERY clean. I was arrested for an 11 YEAR OLD speeding ticket, by the way - it was paid.. First experience being incarcerated, transferred to Jefferson county Louisville KY from there.. Different review all together.. Keep it up guy's compassion, is Still alive in Meade County!!!
