We have enjoyed eating here fir several years. The food is always very good, fairly large portions, and they have no qualms with swapping out items. The service is usually very polite and attentive. Very good food selection for those in your group that don’t do BBQ. Highly recommend.

I have not been to BI for several years, and was unhappy with the changes of several menu items. I loved the prior Cole slaw, also they no longer serve Texas toothpicks! My fiance was upset with the Very small portion of burnt ends, he received for a large order priced right at 20

This is BBQ done right. I judge bbq joints mostly on their burnt ends and Branding Iron's are melt in your mouth perfect. Best I've had in quite a while. Their ribs are fall off the bone delicious. You definitely don't need sauce for this goodness, but if you must, the spicy sauce is great. We went Friday night while they're having their southern shrimp boil. My wife, being from Louisiana, wanted to try it out. She couldn't stop saying how great it was! She was quite impressed, which doesn't happen often when us midwesterners offer up southern staples. They were swamped, but service was attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back for some more awesome meats!

Good BBQ with its own identity. Given the proximity to KC I guess I expected KC style BBQ but what we got was a more unique experience and a great surprise to boot. The dry-rub ribs were tender, a bit too tender as I like a bit of “pull” but the smoke and rub were terrific. The burnt ends and ham were good but the big happy surprise was the fried catfish. I honestly thought we were too far north for good catfish but the thick crunchy corn meal breading was as good as any we had in our time (15yrs) in Louisiana. The fried okra was very good also, someone knows the frier quite well. The only negatives to me were the sauces. The regular didn’t do much for me and the spicy, normally my go-to, was worse, all heat no flavor. Service was great, very nice people. The space is clean and almost too modern as a new remodel, while nice, is a bit sterile.
