They take forever to issue refunds and will make it a pain. They will not refund your credit card but require a cheque to be issued like cave people.

me and my indigenous boyfriend tried going swimming and we are both under the age of 18. however the people working at the front desk accepted that i (a white female) was under the age of 18 however they did not believe that my boyfriend was under the age of 18 and therefore would not let him in without an ID. I got my mother to call in asking if people under the age of 18 need to have an ID and it confirms that you do not. he also has never been to the YMCA before and apparently he was on the system saying he was 18 which was not correct so I strongly believe that this was racism towards my boyfriend. and I have a friend that works at the YMCA and he agreed with me that this was racism because he is indigenous.

Poorly placed treadmills, not enough benches or free weights or squat racks. Rude staff and you are not able to scan in, you always have to waste time going to front desk.

Almost a year since last here. Last time present my child received electric shock from a broken motion sensing light switch in the family change area after being accidentally locked in the bathroom. While locked in, staff had no clue on how to open the door. The shock was reported and staff made aware of the problem after the child made it out. Today upon returning for a family swim, happened to use the same bathroom. Switch still broken allowing for children or adults to insert their wet fingers into a live electrical circuit box. How is this kind of neglect even possible????
