Please don't trust Star ratings, honesty is far more accurate. Dr chesworth is so important so he picks and chooses what's important to him. My son died, age 39 unexpectedly (not covid) & unfortunately Dr chesworth was too busy to care or listen and as deceased my son was valuless. I was his mother and hadn't slept for 4 days, I begged for help and finally got a response 4 days later. He is guarded by his receptionist because he is so imported & is totally unapproachable. Brannams brings a whole meaning to \trust me I'm a doctor\I wasn't expecting counselling but medication. Please be very careful who you trust as this shocking treatment could happen as suddenly to you. Find somewhere else. When you really need help dr chesworth might say to you, you realy don't. patience should NEVER be dismissed. Branams is far to big & overwhelmed with TRUSTING patience to have any time for compassion or follow-up help.Branams is the main giant doctors business in Barnstaple, so don't have to try. My son was called David but Goliath always wins. There our nicer places. Trust me! smaller practices have a bigger heart. don't be a faceless patiant on a broken conveyor belt.big desaster & most patients sadly accept their just cought in a dreadful system. Finally I booked a telephone appointment & his way of talking someone through a coroner's report was very brief & he kept in-patiently saying \anyway\. If you ever have any questions for dr chesworth, you're treated as an inconvenience & your too unqualified to understand anyway (so stop fussing) not just over a death, but your health too & your just left utterly baffled. Please don't let this ever happened to you & find a caring doctor, who will give their patients a chance & will help, listen, and explain. New patients seriously stay away, current patiance, good luck. If your health is fragile & it gets worse because of the fruitless struggles to get help, like me, don't let it happen to you. THERE IS NO EXCUSE

Absolute joke ,, i don't ask for a doctors appointment unless I need one being self employed ,, send photos etc ,, they are saying a mask is safe and I would be happy to wear one !!! I have worked right through being a mechanic ,, no faith in gp now !!!

Excellent service all round. I saw Dr Marquiss and she was beyond amazing. She spoke to me with care and compassion but also honesty, she followed through with everything with speed and kept me informed. Amazing lady thank you so much.

Dr Marquiss is one of the finest GP's I have had the pleasure of meeting during my 59 years . She is personable, caring and sincere and makes you feel that she understands. She is proactive, gets things done and when you leave her surgery, you have a bounce in your step, feeling that she is going to do all she possibly can to help you. She is a wonderful asset to the surgery.
