All of the above. My 2 yr old is a Jack Russell/Dachund cross...so neverending energy and stubbornness. 1st day was an assessment and lots of interaction and play with other dogs. 2nd visit, already saw changes. Highly reccomend

I have my beautiful 5 month old pup at the facility in the bootcamp program. I can't stress enough the importance in training your pup or dog. He also does hands on training with you and your dog together. It will make your life more pleasurable with your companion. You have to put all your trust in Fernando and let him do his work. I did and we couldn't be happier. Thank you Fernando @ The Brazilian Dog Guru.

Be very careful when signing your dog up for training with this facility. Make sure you know the training methods and tools that are being used. Do your due diligence and research how training methods can affect a dog long term. I have witnessed the owner make personal attacks against others who question his training methods. He has also been banned from the largest FB dog group in Kamloops because of his unprofessionalism.

I usually don't write reviews but just had to after our experience at Brazilian Dog Guru. Fernando has taken our crazy pitbull who was constantly walking me on walks, and turned him into a calm dog who actually listens. Walks are now enjoyable and my dog actually listens to me. I would highly recommend Fernando and the whole team at Brazilian Dog Guru!

Fernando helped my dog (large guardian mastiff type) who came to me as an adult when no one else knew what to do with his deep-rooted fear of people and insecurity. Fernando uses balanced training which includes both negative and positive reinforcement, and the negative reinforcement is a consequence for an action that could lead to hurting someone or something. I know there are plenty dogs out there that can get by on 100% positive reinforcement but a dog that could hurt someone if unchecked is why so many of them are put down: because people aren't willing to put them in check. Please do your research on trainers; it is pretty much a widely-known fact that Fernando uses e-collars as a controlled mechanism of reinforcing verbal commands and they can eventually be weaned off, later requiring only verbal commands (as in my dog's case 99% of the time). Fernando is successful in behaviorally training dogs that many trainers are not successful in training because he understands that not one size fits all in dog training. It is pretty likely that an educated dog trainer who makes his living off behaviorally shaping puppies and adult dogs that other trainers refer people to knows what he is doing and if he feels an e-collar can be used for the future welfare/quality of life of the dog and his family, I'd trust it, and I did, which changed my dog's life, and I forever thank him and recommend him to anyone in a similar situation.
