Comfy, cosy, relaxing, spacious. Country House vibe with unique decor and locally made gifts and a farm shop. I had a scone and coffee. There are scones and then there are freshly baked scones, these were delicious and definitely fresh from the oven. Even my usual boring white coffee was just to my liking. Not too strong, not too weak, a good balance of coffee to milk and hot enough. It's rare to get it that perfect and think it could be a first from any cafe I've ever visited The service was excellent and there is a incline path entrance for disabled customers. I will definitely be back.

A place I visited as a child and have been back several times. The castle ruin is imposing but the gardens are absolutely beautiful with its boxed hedging and rose gardens. Love the resident peacock too. Lovely little gift shop and the staff were welcoming and informative.
