Any parent can tell you that taking great photos of babies and kids is hard. That is why we were very impressed with the photographs that Brett took of our family. His rapport with kids and creative ideas made the photo session fun and relaxing, and it shows in the pictures. We didn't get just one or two good family pictures from the session but enough great pictures to fill a book. So we did, we filled a book with the pictures and had it printed and bound, now its the object of admiration (and envy) from our guests.

Brett and Sarah were great! They did a Thanksgiving family shoot under less than ideal circumstances (late at night, small space with lots of people) and the photos turned out great! They were patient and remained very positive throughout the shoot. The process was seamless and the pics were available very quickly. I would highly recommend Brett and Sarah!
I was given Brett's name and information after seeing the amazing newborn photos that he took of a friend's baby and big sister. I was so impressed that I asked him to take photos of my family. He suggested a park in Durham and my (at the time) energetic 3-year-old little boy was in heaven. My son ran from play set to play set, explored the bridge, and ran around like he owned the place. I felt the need to apologize to Brett and Sarah but there was no need. They seemed completely at ease as they followed Chase around the park, snapping pictures of him. They were very open to any suggestions that we had. The results were awesome! They captured all the energy and personality that is our son and we couldn't have been happier. I would highly suggest Brett and Sarah to anyone interested in family photography. I hope to use him/them again in the future!
We had the tremendous pleasure of Brett's services for our newborn and one year old photos for our daughter. He's the consummate professional and possesses an extraordinary eye for his photography. We have had the pleasure of having Brett and his lovely wife Sarah work with us over the last couple of years on multiple photo shoots, including family sessions and our kids' birthday parties. Each time has been an enjoyable experience (even the occasions with grumpy children!) and we have been thoroughly impressed with the final photographs that are delivered to us. They truly know how to capture the feelings and highlights of the event, like my son's first bite of cake when he turned one, and I just love their attention to the details. Professional and affordable. In fact, the most professional and affordable photographer with whom I have ever worked. Brett showed up early and helped prepare everything for the photoshoot. He was ready with suggestions for locations and ideas for pictures. He put in extra time cheerfully to make sure everything came out just right. It is easy to tell that he truly loves what he does. Even better, he happen to be pretty good at it, too!
Brett & Sarah shot our engagement photos as well as our wedding at Duke Chapel. They are wonderful pictures and wonderful photographers. They spent a lot of time with us to make sure everything was done well, and that kind of detail is appreciated.
