If there were negative stars I’d choose that option. Mark of Flint brick and chimney came out and did our chimney and did a great job. While they were at our house they offered to quote another issue. We had them come out a month later give us a formal quote and because he did good work for us the first time we gave them a deposit for 1400 to start this job. Of course they cash the check right away. It’s been 4 1/2 weeks and every single one of our texts and phone calls has been ignored and we are 1400 for. Stay away from Mark Maupin and Karen McKiernan. They are thieves.

Mark was professional, timely, and exceeded my expectations on the repair work. He went above and beyond with his work. The finished project was superb and I would highly recommend him for brick repairs!
He does not deserve any stars. Mark Maupin will try to take your money! Do not use him! Wrote a 833.33 check for him as a deposit for some work without checking reviews on yelp, after meeting him I checked the reviews and cancelled the check. I did not inform Mark, instead I wanted to see if he would even go to the job the next day and contact us when he got there as he said he would. Mark never went to the job site or contacted me after he received the check. He tried to cash it a couple days later still not contacting me about any work being done. He says he is great at communicating with his customers and does great work. He will talk fast and be very anxious to just get the check and leave. Be aware of him he is a con man. Check Yelp and Birdeye for true reviews. Do not trust this man.
I needed some work done on my chimney. Water was getting in down the side, so I had this guy pour some new shoulders for the chimney. Here are the highlights: - Hits me up for a hundred bucks up-front for material. - Doesn't answer or returns calls for the next two days. - Eventually shows up and asks if he can use a 2x4 he saw in my garage instead of going to Home Depot, says he'll knock it off the price. Not that big of a deal. - Came home to see that he used multiple 2x4's, other scrap and cinder blocks I had laying around. Also helped himself to a brand new bag of mortar I had laying on my work bench, just cut hole in the middle and took what he needed. - Left spilled cement/mortar on my driveway. A motor oil leak coincidental showed up on the drive as well. - Considered his work complete after he pulled the form off. No finishing with a rub brick to make it look decent. - Pulled my downspout off to set the forms and never put it back on. - Left a mess. Pieces of concrete, vapor barrier and trash left directly underneath his work. - Said he would come back to seal and caulk and I held on to thirty bucks. Never answered another phone call from me again or returned a call. I quit trying after two weeks. So that's my experience with this guy.
