Can't praise this pub enough staff so friendly...Great choice of food n drink, sport on telly Saturdays arent same without a visit to this great pub.

Amazing and warm welcome, fantastic to see a pub taking Covid seriously. We felt very safe upon entering, all tables correctly distanced. They’ve introduced screens between booths so now more people can be seated safely. Smart one way system in place. Food was hot, delicious and looked great. Quick service and food! Will definitely be returning very soon.
I throughly enjoyed my visit here. Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was how attentive the staff were, running round ensuring everything was clean and how friendly they all were making us feel very welcomed. I felt very comfortable and confident with enjoying some food here after seeing how well the staff were adhering to the social distancing rules and cleaning regularly, we will definitely be returning!

A large pub with entertainment on the weekend, (stopped with covid), Food and drinks served which hit the spot. Loses a star because of manager who enforces their version of covid rules far too vigorously, no doubt he would say that its more than his job is worth!
Very reassuring when visiting the Calder to see properly implemented Covid-19 safety measures. Unlike many other pubs in the area, the Calder makes sure all customers fill in ‘track and trace’ details, maintain social distancing and regularly and visibly sanitise touch-points. The drinks are well priced, the food is tasty and good value for money and the pub has a friendly atmosphere despite the new social distancing measures. A good example of how a pub can still work well in these times.
Very safe. Very clean. Needs a dark beer for the approaching winter.
Service was absolutely fantastic. Loads of seating. Has a few car parks around it. It's a short walk from the train station as well. Loved the pleasant atmosphere. Loads of screens to watch the sports live. The best part for me was the abundance of vegan and vegetarian options. I was absolutely blown away. Rare for me to see puns offering so many options. And they taste good, too. Definitely recommend it and would go there again!
