Absolutely appalled by this company for house insurance. We were burgled while attending out sons 2nd birthday party and it has been hell trying to get them to help us. Our new home kitchen was ruined we were lucky enough to still have builders on site to quickly repair some of the damage to make safe. A third party consultant was instructed to come visit us which totally humiliated us ! we both work full time and long hours to achieve this house to be made to feel like criminals! Even the consultant was mortified that he was called out to investigate. It such a small claim too. My car was stolen from the drive and my jewellery box with nothing of major value which i made very clear it was more sentimental was it was items that had bee in my family years,. My advice would be to stay away from this company we are now 3 months in to the claim and they have no paid out anything for the repairs we are out of pocket for or provide any resolution to my missing jewellery items they investigating!!! SHOCKE!
Absolutely shocking insurance company , I opened and paid for a policy with Covea through Hastings direct only to be informed by the DVLA four months later that the vehicle had no insurance. After hours and hours of trying to contact Hastings the matter was resolved and to be fair Hastings were very apologetic and we received some compensation but the circumstances could have been far more serious due to Covea's incompetence.
Hit by a third party insured by them and 8 months later still no compensation. DO NOT BUY!!!
