Chris is an awesome teacher and great guy. I took lessons with him for several years and improved a lot. He's happy to focus on whatever you want, from theory to songs.
I had taken lessons before and wasn't really picking up what I was being taught. Chris is able to understand my needs as a student to make it fun, but also pushes me through my insecurities. It's always a relaxed setting, but focused too, and he's extremely knowledgable! Oh, and we shred hard.
I am a huge fan of Chris. My son Max started with him at age 11 when he wanted to be a rock god. Over the years Max's passion turned to music production/sound engineering and composing his own music. Chris wholly supported this and soon Max was learning music theory and building songs from found sounds. Next year he is headed to college and majoring in music production/engineering (Thanks Chris!). Beyond being generally a lovely guy, Chris is an excellent teacher with a vast knowledge across musical genres (he is also a wildly talented guitarist who is awesome live).
Chris is a great instructor and an awesome guy! My wife and I have been taking beginner lessons with him for a year. Chris has a low key and patient approach that makes each session fun and productive. He is always punctual and flexible in terms of scheduling which we appreciate. Chris came recommended to us by a friend and we similarly endorse him!
