If I could put six stars as a rating, I would. This place is like a second home and is so welcoming. God really has blessed this place and all the people in it.

I am a former/returning member of BUMC. The prime of my Youth Group days where spent here and I have so many good memories in the youth room. I spent 2 years under the direction of David Johnson and about 7 months under the direction of Mike Orr, both Men were outstanding. Broomfield United Methodist Church for me, is more than just church. It's where I started my relationship with Jesus. In 2012 when my Mom and I became members the first time, I was a troubled teen with an atheist father. My mom brought me to church and I thrived. Through the youth group program, I was mentored after my parents divorced and I was shown the right path by the youth pastor himself. I reaffirmed my Baptism here on 3/23/2014 and Pastor Cross walked me up the isle like when they do a baby baptism, even though I was 17. In 2017, less than a year after we were forced to transfer due to a change in family circumstance, I was told that I would be having hip replacement surgery at the astonishing age of 20. Scared, I tried to find someone at my own church to pray for me on surgery day. The senior pastor doesn't do hospital clergy and our church didn't have an assistant pastor. It was a long shot, but at my request Pastor Cross came to the hospital and prayed for me as they prepped me for the surgery on 6/14/17. Earlier this year after we found out that the reason we changed churches in the first place, no longer exists I developed a longing to return to Broomfield UMC. For greater than 6 months I dealt with a spiritual low that only seemed to have one solution. One month ago this Sunday, just before Halloween I returned to BUMC for the first time in 3 years and while it was a little awkward, I will admit, I have turned a corner in my spiritual life. God has blessed BUMC with the open mindedness that the UMC was founded on and I look forward to maybe even rejoining the congregation, because as I said earlier, it's my home. God Bless CJ Jones
