Make sure to come with a big empty belly, you are not leaving without being stuffed! Fantastic atmosphere. Sit outside under an oak tree and relax and enjoy your freshly prepared meal. Delicious food. We had the philly sandwich and the crawfish etouffee special. Both were fantastic and very filling. For desert we had the brownies and the punch cake and both were great! You get a very generous portion for the price you pay. Owner is extremely friendly. :)

Great Bacon burger and Sweet potatoe fries. Juicy, well season, dripping , good. Nice place, outdoor setting, hard to find if you don't know the place. Order taking is in the back shed, sitting is outdoor under a shaded tree, hence the name of restaurant. Outdoor setting is eye pleasing. Highly recommended if you don't mind the summer heat, unless you're taking it to go.
This is an outstanding place to eat. Dine under 100 year old oak trees to some of the freshest seafood and local foods. I have never had a meal there that I didn’t go to the owners a let them know that my meal could not have been better

Hands down some of the best food in the state . not a big dessert fan but i haven't had anything over I didn't love . they have a wonderful seating area under a massive live oak which is why its called shade tree . you can also bring your own ice chest for drinks and wine glasses can be provided by staff.
