This has become my favorite restaurant! The food is always fresh and delicious and the menu outstanding. The smell of freshly ground coffee and home baked breads greet you as you enter the door. Followed by the lovely lighting, music, and slightly rustic, yet sophisticated decor. I bring all my out of town customers here for lunch because they are consistently a high quality restaurant with a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. They offer something for everyone and the staff is excellent. Castra Rota Restaurant is truly a one of a kind place and I highly recommend it to everyone. I am certain it will become your favorite place to eat, as well.
We heard very good things about this restaurant, so we drove from Savannah to have the same experience we were told about. As soon as we walked in, felt like traveling back to the old roman times, with a beautifully decorated restaurant, welcomed by a very friendly and kind staff who took their time to explain us the authentic italian menu, specifically selected to enjoy the Roman original dishes. We couldn't help but try as many dishes as we could, since everything was just so delicious, and soul warming. Highly suggested, especially to whom is ready to take on a fantastic culinary journey. Oh and don't forget to try the tiramisù dessert, just too good to miss it.
Enjoyed a wonderful lunchamd learned so much about the ancient Roman foods. The Lentil soup was amazing and the breads! Alao many unique market items for purchase to try at home. I highly recommend this unique dining experience. Cannot wait to go back!
