I had a nice experience at BSI. The stuff are really nice and helpful. This was the cheapest school I have found in Berlin. Nevertheless, I had a bad experience with Stefan ( German teacher). I would say he is the kind of guy that either you love or hate. He is really nice as a person and open minded but terrible as a teacher. He has no patience at all, he would get stressed every time that I or someone else would ask him something. I also think the school should have a placement test. I was taking a higher level and there were so many people that did not even knew the content of A2 which made things worse and Stefan even more stressed. He would spend so much time in his phone and the classes were not well prepared at all. Afterwards, I had the opportunity to study with Mark which is totally the opposite of Stefan. Mark is patient, creative, explain the content very well and he is well organized and prepared. So I would say it is important to watch the classes before deciding to stay or not. I didn't want to watch the first class to see if I would like the teacher or not and I had a terrible experience with Stefan. It would've had been better if I had the chance to study with Mark since the beginning.

I was preparing for the Telc exam B1 with Kirstin Jasper and her communication and explanation was on the highest professional level! In one month time, she managed to explain me all the most important grammatical constructions needed for this level. We practiced not only through exercises but also discussion and argumentation: we talked on daily life topic to practice speaking. She always gave me really good, detailed, constructive feedback on my writing exercises which helped me so much to improve my German. I believe, BSI is a great school with VERY talented teachers and if I were you I would definitely apply here!

Good school with good teachers..especially Kirestin Jasper...she is soooo cuteeand her accent is beautiful and her way of teaching is great️... I started learning with her from A1... I advise everyone to enter this school..and if your teacher is Christine, you are lucky babe

Great experience. Motivated teachers, helpful and friendly staff. I highly recommend BSI to anyone thinking of doing a German language course. The classes are full immersion, which can be a bit intimidating at first, but you learn fast and have fun at the same time. The school is also a quick and easy walk from the U-Ban.
