Sooo yummy! The grilled 1/2 duck was fabulous! Perfectly cooked with a glorious crispy outside! Vegetables and sauce were very good too. The raspberry dessert was incredible. Great wine options too! Love the area, quiet, off the beaten track but still close to everything. Cash only so bring some bills!!

Not only our favourite meal in Budapest, but also our favourite meal across our ten day trip from Prague, through Vienna and Bratislava to Budapest. We turned up around lunch time on the weekend and though the streets were empty, the tiny restaurant was full. The staff did not allow us to book the next free table, and were not super accommodating so we went to nearby hotel for beers and checked for a table prior to each round of drinks. When they finally had room for us the staff were lovely and could not be better. We ordered the pickles, bread and a dumpling soup. While delicious it felt like a slow start. Next was our main meals, the pork knuckle and the stuffed cabbage. The stuffed cabbage was amazing but pork knuckle was next level. Even though we we had a light breakfast many hours prior we did not manage to finish our plates off. The place was very cosy with nice decor, and they seemed very passionate about the food and their restaurant. Would recommend to all and go back to Budapest to dine again

I stopped by and got the goulash here based on the glowing reviews, but I must say that I left not having been all that impressed. It was also quite pricey for what it was (the meal below cost just over 5000HUF, the beer mug is small (200ml) for scale).

Very cosy place with Hungarian cuisine. The quality of food and service are really good. It’s a good value for money too. I had a Belly Pork and I don’t regret it

Small, cozy, uncomplicated food - really enjoyed it. The menu simply says: roast beef, grilled duck, pork belly, etc, and when you order the owner/waiter explains the sides it comes with. We had the pate and goats cheese to start, then the pork belly and 1/2 duck. The duck was huge! Really well cooked, crispy skinned. Served with roast potatoes, veggies, and a delicious sweet paprika sauce. Really worth a visit if you like big meaty dishes!

Great non-touristic place with authentic Hungarian food, fair prices and very nice staff! Would definitely go here again when I am back in Budapest! We loved the interior too!
