For our first visit to Hungary, we truly got to see the quaint countryside & stunning cities, learn about its dramatic history and feel its old world charm. Velo-Touring went the extra mile to provide us with an exceptional cycling and vacation experience. My wife and I did a guided cycling trip from Vienna to Budapest via Bratislava, lake Neuztl and lake Balaton. We joined an awesome group of 7 other cyclists from the U.K. We were supported by the owner Tony, and his sons Viktor and Kristof. Cycling was easy on quiet roads and bike paths. The route was essentially flat and we averaged 50 kilometres per day. Areas with high traffic and construction were avoided by reloading the riders and bikes back onto the shuttle vehicles and trailer. Hybrid Bikes were of excellent quality and very comfortable. Pedal assist e-bikes were available on the trailer if required by a rider. All hotels were 3 star or better, all included 3 course delicious dinners providing the tasting of local specialties. After dinner our guides provided us with detailed commentary tours in Bratislava, Budapest and the small villages along the route. Their knowledge of their roots and close relationships with town folks made the tour a wonderful cultural experience. Also, 3 spas were visited, including the thermal lake Heviz where we spent one night. We thought Velo-Touring did an amazing job organizing the trip and insuring all rider’s needs were met and that a good time was had by all. We highly recommend this touring company.

That was a really great time spent with Tony ! He was our guide from Budapest to Vienna for 5 days. My family, my girlfrend and I really appreciated the tour, the villages we went through, the places we slept in, and his attention during our journey. We were not all sportive but we got used to cycling quickly and we knew that Tony was always "hidden" somewhere close in case of emergency ! I would highly recommend it and do it again :) Cheers

Had a fabulous week as a group of 9 travelling with Velo-Touring from Vienna, via Bratislava, to Budapest. The cycling was varied - villages, vineyards, lake side - and not too arduous, just hard enough to feel we’d earned the spa time and lovely food and wines each evening! Tony was a genial host and enabled us to see and experience some of the less high profile parts of Hungary. The individual touch was completed by younger son Christoff driving one of the support vehicles, and older son Viktor who led the rides and was a seemingly unending source of historical and political background regarding the palaces and cities that we visited. And to top it all - they sourced great weather for the whole ride ;) :D Wholly recommended

We, 5 mature ladies, have just returned from a wonderful holiday cycling round Lake Balaton with velo touring Our guide Toni worked so hard to make the holiday very enjoyable .He provided treats along the way and recommended places to see and eat. One of the highlights was a jeep trip into the hills for wine tasting. Thank you Toni. We would highly recommend your company.

I thoroughly enjoyed the excellent 3 Lakes cycle trip from Vienna to Budapest (Sept '19 ) which didn't following the usual Danube path but took us away from the busier routes allowing us to see rural life and visit places 'less travelled' especially in Hungary. The rest of the group were great fun which really made the trip extra special for me as I travelled alone on this trip (thanks guys!!). Tony and his sons Viktor and Kristoff were very thoughtful, knowledgeable and fun. They do hide their light under a bushel somewhat in terms of what the trip offers e.g by arranging some of the hotels with really good spa facilities, a thermal lake visit, an extra little event of local wine and food tasting and a fabulous end of trip night time tour of Budapest which is exceptionally beautiful at night. I recommend this trip highly
