They helped me get my money back from a shady contractor. He dodged me for over a year. I had to provide evidence of his unlawful practices. Don’t expect them to fight for you like a lawyer. For that you need a lawyer. They provide a service to try and work things out between the parties. They do their best but unless you have sufficient proof and evidence to provide, all they can do is contact the other party to try and settle it. If the other party refuses, the claim is dropped but then filed for future uses if more claims come in. It all depends on how many claims there are against the party. The more claims they get the harder they fight.

They are very lazy.. why try..don't waste your time. They'll just refer you to a private lawyer...

My cousin was Brutally attacked she was in the hospital for weeks fractures to her skull, around her orbital bone and more, thankfully there was a security camera somewhere that the asswipe was in full focus. So they caught him and it went to court and my cousin and her sister have yet to hear anything. Meanwhile my cousin who was attacked has suffered a stroke due to the injuries she endured from the attack, currently she’s home and she needs to have speak therapist come out and teach her how to speak again. And the attorney general won’t speak to my cousins sister only my cousin was that was attacked who now cannot speak... how about you do your damn job that you’re paid for and put the scumbag in jail where he belongs so others will be safe!

In 15 years of attempting to notify the State via the Attorney General of illegality, corruption, or consumer fraud issues, I have never once obtained a satisfactory response. The latest was in regards to EZPass which is literally engaging in racketeering by charging excessive fees to consumers which they did not agree to. The Attorney General's Office in Buffalo, via one Pamela Jones, refused to act, stating they could not act on behalf of one consumer. So, I provided evidence of TV interviews on local newsstations, as well as copies of lawsuits from all different parts of this State and others whereby EZPass has systematically victimized consumers. Still she refused to take action. Government employees who get paid to do nothing should be fired. Period. I am sick and tired of hearing what can't be done. My taxes pay your salary, and it is your job to protect consumers, not just some, but all. The refusal of the Attorney General's office to address the Grand Island Bridge situation shows corruption continues between the private contractors and the State. Who knows, the State is probably getting kickbacks.
