Buffalo City Mission is located in Buffalo, United States on 100 E Tupper St. Buffalo City Mission is rated 3.1 out of 5 in the category non-profit organization in United States. Since 1917, Buffalo City Mission has seen the City of Buffalo and its people through hard times on every level imaginable. Through the widespread devastation of the Great Depression to the current economic downturn in our city, the Mission has opened its doors to help men, women and children restore their hope, dignity and lives. For over 90 years, the Mission has met the spiritual and practical needs of the poor through the demonstration of Christ’s love and the preaching of the Gospel. Look around you and you will see our work is far from over. Each year, more men, women and children come to us for help. At the same time, their needs become increasingly complex. Providing food and shelter to people in crisis is simply not enough. Today, Buffalo City Mission offers long-term recovery programs, counseling, work and life-skills training, education assistance and health-care services for homeless men, women and families committed to turning their lives around. We offer outreach programs to prevent homelessness for individuals and families in the low-income community. It will take all of us—individuals, businesses, churches, service groups and foundations—to meet the challenges ahead. I was in and out the city mission for a few years, but everytime I was there I was able to obtain things to help me in my future first I received my welding certificate, sorry to say that didn't work out cause I didn't like welding 2 years later I found myself back in tge dumps came to the mission they picked me up dusted me off and went to truck driving school. Still struggled with my demons for a couple years I was in and out of jobs. But all the tools I acquired while at the city mission all ways played in the back of my mind those heart felt conversation with Pastor Robinson, those, those stay on the track its gone to pay off conversations over a good game of chess with Mr Booker. Now last night I found my self in A position to donate some of mine and my future wife clothing to the mission and will be donating a turkey this year. Thank you city mission for never giving up on me and always keeping the light on..

Stayed there about a week or so came back one night saw there was no blankets on my bed. When i politely asked for one i was told to leave & they mentioned something about a letter i needed to have which they never told me about in my intake. Furthermore i was suppose to be seen by a caseworker there according to my intake worker but that never happen for some reason. I made them call police so i would have a place to stay & gave officers no problem as my case was dismissed the next day by a judge.

By far the best place to stay in the whole city of Buffalo if you have no place to call home. They provide clean clothes, warm beds, great food, and an extremely caring staff.

Hi! We do allow thieves to stay here! And drunkards, dope addicts, and folks that should have made a left turn at Albuquerque; come one, come all, as you are all welcome! We offer a warm, safe place for you to sleep along with food and guidance that will nourish your body and soul! We have the empathy and compassion that Christ personified. You will be warmly received and embraced, regardless of your shortcomings or suffering; you have God on your side at the Buffalo City Mission. The Mission is about you and everyone who is in need; it's a life-changer and life-saver.
