Review for the PA - Jen Bognar. Wonderful PA, she was thoughtful, thorough, listened to me. As an RN myself, I know how important these qualities are in a HCP. She told me the unanswered questions from my PCP and I was great full. Told me what was going to happen and all. Then I waited for the MD, Weingarten. I was shocked that he didn’t sit, eye contact probably half the time. Came off very know it all, which he is the specialist, I know. Very impersonal, didn’t ask me much. I felt like I was listening to a healthline article. I wasn’t impressed. I was very impressed by the PA though. Thanks Jen! I am very glad with what I found out today and am glad you were able to tell me the best news I’ve heard I’m in awhile!

I want to start by saying Im not a new client, Ive been seen at this location for about 2 years. I call today to get 2 medications refilled due to the dr not responding to pharmacy. I was told since I cancelled my last appt due to feeling sick I can't get my refills. I then said well I have a appt next week and I can't just cold trukey the meds Im on. She then told me not to yell ( um i didn't even raise my voice) then she said she would check with the other dr and call me back. If I could give 0 stars for this interaction with the receptionist I would. How is cancelling one appt grounds to not get meds refilled, Im told by the NYDOH to stay home if i feel sick due to Covid 19. This being a clinic that deals with auto immune disorders you would think this would be understood but I guess the receptionist isn't trained therefore should keep her opinions out of it..
Stay away if you value your credit score!! They sent me one bill, which I did not believe reflected all my insurer was going to pay, so I asked the accounting staff to resubmit to a different insurance department. Having had similar experiences where other medical providers have received full payment from my insurer, and having no past due notices, I assumed the bill had been paid in full. 3 months later I received a FINAL NOTICE before the bill was going to be sent to collections. Thank God that one wasn't lot in the mail! Apparently it is their policy to not send any past due notices except one just before you are sent to a collection agency! You better hope you see that one or off to collections you go! Almost ruined my 400 credit score. The place is too cheap to send monthly notices. I wonder what other ridiculous policies they have. The physicians were pretty good, but there are many other places out there to choose from. I would suggest going elsewhere to avoid risking my credit rating!
I waited to get into the rheumatologist, I was thrilled because I finally thought I had found a doctor that would treat me for my FM and CFIDS. The PA was initially very nice, then was off standing. She acted as if I was completely okay. The doctor came in and asked why I was even there. It took me back. They couldn’t throw medications at me, didn’t listen to anything I had said, look at what was going on or my history. When I stated I should treat myself the doctor said yes. Unbelievable, unprofessional and disrespectful. Gave me a card if I wanted a follow up?! Seriously they are inept. Found another rheumatologist who is doing tests that have never been done, is concerned for my health. Have had other tests done that show damage to hands yet these apathetic individuals were too focused on being rude to even consider the prospect of other issues. Hmmm could the insurance play into the equation?
Wonderful professionals who have helped me tremendously. They listen to my concerns and often guide me in how my RA affects other areas of my health. Knowledgable and caring staff.
