Favorite breakfast spot !! Highly recommend Wantan mee , roasted pork , hokkien mee , Koay chap at morning market ! Rmb ask the uncle add black soy sauce when you order wantan mee :)
Local street food in the square where the Old Temple is located. As it smack in the middle of the old part of BM town traffic is horrendous. In the evening the braised fish head with tofu and celery is very good - option to try with Mee Hoon or rice porridge. Also recommended is the fried oysters and satay stalls. The Hokkien Prawn Mee is an old stall and popular with locals.
Love to have food here. Variety of choices
Quite a delightful area to visit, some items are delicious but some aren't. Either way it's worth a visit.
Long established wantan noodle stall now located in its present location due to renovation works at the Pek Kong Cheng temple after a fire damaged the temple. The noodles as a rule is served in plain "white" form but you can ask for dark black soya sauce to be added. The serving of small wantan is generous. Green pickled chilli is served separately. A popular dish among locals here who come to Jalan Pasar to buy things, go to the market or to have breakfast. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, seating is limited. Many customers buy takeaways. Worth a visit to the area and try the dish.
Under renovation at present and hockers have scattered around market street for the time being. A few relocated within BM temporily too.
This PLAIN bowl of Pork Noodle can surprise your palate. Someone told me is a must try when in BM. I went, I tried and I experienced it. Really not to be missed.
