A unique restaurant! Must visit on Friday or Saturday night, when there is a program with bagpipes and Rhodope music, but it is almost always full and you have to make a reservation! The decor is remarkable and tastefully made. The prices are normal and the food is very tasty! If you haven't drunk buttermilk or you want to remember the taste - this is the place!

Absolutely top Bulgarian food restaurant.
Nice atmosphere, though it was not possible to sit outside. Tipical very delicious dishes like patatnik, klin and other Rodopian specialties. Friendly polite staff. Small parking lot and and a bit unpleasant front with car garages. Fortunately not visible from the inside or the garden.
Great restaurant. Excelent food, atmosphere and staff. Very reasonable prices. One of the best I've been to in Bulgaria.
Delicious Bulgarian traditional cuisine. Great atmosphere and interior. Polite waiters. Highly recommended!
The place to eat in Smolian! I had two meals in the restaurant, few days apart. Both quite enjoyable and fulfilling For the first - we had a table on the street level - where the bar is. Second - a couple of levels down - outside in the garden area. I have to say I hardly went past the starters, because they sounded and looked (on the very well presented menu) great. So we all ordered a few each and tried each others one. My favorites are the Катък, Родопски Клин, Пататник and the salad Българче. I also had big butter beans (Смилянски фасул}, gherkins and лютеница salad, but I was slightly surprised that it contained not too many beans, but many other things such as olives(not pitted), carrots, red peppers and so on. Not bad at all, don't get me wrong, but would have liked a few more beans. Would order it again now that I know the ingredients. What I wouldn't order again is the stuffed vine leaves (сарми в лозови листа) - They were ever so dry as if prepared last summer. Hopefully just a bad batch. For drinks I had a recommended by the waitress шишаркова ракия - very nice! As well as Михалковска naturally sparkling mineral water. The first evening we were lucky enough to see some of the staff singing and playing on accordion and bagpipe folk songs from Rodopa mountain. There was olso a spit roast outside in the big fire place. Second night was nice and quiet. Staff were polite and friendly, the interior is done with the typical local tradition in mind. There is also a shop selling traditional folk dresses, but I only noticed it before I left the restaurant, so will check it next time. Would definitely recommend and come back next time I am in the town.
The best traditional Bulgarian restaurant I've been to and I am born and raised in Bulgaria. This place is off the charts on all paragraphs - interior, waiters, service and the food... Oh my god! Literally every single dish my friends and I tried was delicious. If you are visiting Smolyan DEFINITELLY try this place out.
Tasty food, but small portions and service is definitely not top quality...
