Beautifully preserved this castle dates back as early as the second half of the 13th century. It is said that the expansion of the castle to its present state predominantly took place during the reign of Lower Bavarian Duke. It’s is the world’s longest castle complex now. You can enjoy the full length of this beautiful castle any day. Inside the castle premises now hosts a museum displaying the contents of the era. Views from the castle are picturesque. I recommend this castle on any cloudy or cold day as the views are amazing. There is a restaurant inside the castle.

Loved everything about it! Views from all sides, beautiful castle complex...like stepping into a medieval movie set.
Awesome location for taking a nice walk or visiting the museum(s) there.
A very nice day trip with families and friends by car to the landscape. The wall is ca. 1km long with fantastic views to the border with Austria. There is a nice lake as well but it's collected to a 'freibad' with entry fee. The old town itself is a traditional baravian town, it serves great food, bier and live music on the street.
Very nicely kept Castle with no entry fee. The parking is free too. The museum has a ticket and is worth the visit. The entire area is nice with Wörsee bathing area right at the foothills.
