Mario began teaching our son when he had just turned five years old. I believe we could not have found a better teacher for our son. There are various qualities that make Mario such an amazing choice. The greatest is that his motivation is quite clearly that he wants his students to experience the joy that he himself experiences when playing the piano. Our son began with no experience at all, and Mario showed patience with him through every step as he introduced him to piano. We saw amazing progress in just one year. He always focused on what our son was gaining from the experience, and celebrated every achievement with him with lots of encouragement. I think he has a great ability to work with children: with our child, he demonstrated a great awareness of his developmental stage and constructed his lessons at an appropriate pace in consideration of his individual strengths and needs. We are sad that we are moving and will not be able to have Mario continue as our son's teacher as we had envisioned he would be for years to come; but we are so very grateful for the beautiful gift Mario gave to him.
