Beautiful!!! I never been here before and tried convincing my bf to come here during the summer to see it to no avail. However, I searched up that it was offering winter wonder light festival and I got my bf to come here with me! The event was a really nice walk and it was decorated nicely with Christmas lights and objects! I also loved how they placed different trees and a little card to tell you where the tree came from and a little “about me” paragraph and the “smell” were suppose to smell! Overall, a good experience here and I would Come back to see the flowers in the summertime!

One of my favourite places in and around Toronto. They have an incredible array of plants. You could spend days and hours here because it is so vast and extensive. There is also an adorable little cafe on site and a hot dog stand / shack that is 50 something years old! Full of history. Last time I was there a botanist was there from Europe for a conference and she was telling me that they are one of the best botanical gardens she has been to. It is huge. The rock garden is my favourite as well as the indoor tropical greenhouse and cacti. It reminds me of the tropical countries I grew up in as a child. What a treat to have that here to revisit whenever I am homesick. Excellent. I haven’t even explored the trails or the boating gardens!

The Royal Botanical Gardens offers many different parks and trails to walk through and enjoy a diverse and vast collection of plants, trees, flowers and wildlife. There is over 27km of trails to explore! The main centre is open year round and houses an indoor Mediterranean Garden along with a gift shop, washrooms, food and event space. There is plenty of free parking at the RBG Centre and all of the parks. However, there is a fee to enter the various parks. The Rock Garden is a beautiful, unique garden, and so well maintained. Take a leisurely stroll through this bowl shaped space and enjoy the beauty of the trees, flowers, plants it showcases. The water features, the pond and waterfall, add a peaceful, delight to your visit. There is food concessions on site, as well as washroom facilities. Plenty of free parking can be found across the street from the entrance. Plan to spend the at least an hour to explore any one of the gardens; or spend the day! Purchase a season pass and go back to explore all that the RBG has to offer all year long. Highly recommend the Royal Botanical Gardens.

We were supposed to visit here when they offered free General admission for health care providers but it was great experience beyond the general admission fee. It was a good chance to see many kinds of tropical plants especially cactus in Canada (a.k.a in a cold winter country). It was good to make us refresh. It was understandable some parts of garden closed due to COVID-19.

Went for Winter Wonders which was included in the general admission of 18 per adult. Cheaper than other light show events going on right now but not that many displays. Still enjoyable though especially with limited things to do during the pandemic. It's great for kids. Will have to visit during the day to enjoy and appreciate the view of the gardens. The worst part was the long lineups to enter. We wanted to go to this event because it is outdoors and therefore safer with covid around. But we were exposed to so many people in the line. We waited an hour to enter. Currently when you purchase a general admission ticket to enter, it could be used on any day of the year and at any time they are open. The tickets should be for a limited time slot on a specific day and time. The good thing is we were told everybody was supposed to wear a mask while in line. And throughout the park too which was a bit odd because once we were in the huge garden everybody was more spaced out and entry was very limited. It was a bit tough wearing a mask for 2 hours straight.
