Sharon Anderson has been invaluable in helping our child who had social communication issues, as well as receptive/expressive speech delay. Her assessment abilities are amazing; every little thing we as parents noticed that was bothering us, she noticed and addressed. She even pointed out those that we haven't noticed. She truly leaves no stone unturned in her methodology. She is very smart and observant and will catch every single detail/issue, record it, discuss it with parents and finally address it. Her every advice was precious to us. The sessions are always well planned and always have a perfect blend of therapy and fun components. Her office environment was always completely free of any distractions. Most importantly, she will get to know your child well! We had different therapist before Sharon, none of which were able to keep our child interested and attentive enough to do a quality therapy session. With Sharon, our kid was excited to go visit her! She has been very flexible with appointments and rescheduling. Not only does she have decades of experience in speech and language pathology, but she is a warm and wonderful person.

I don’t usually write reviews but I feel that Sharon goes above and beyond when it comes to speech therapy. She started working with my younger daughter Dec 2017 and we have seen significant improvements in her speech. Sharon is wonderful with engaging her on her session. She is kind, patient and knowledgeable in her field. She always welcomes us with a smile on her face and has been very accommodating with scheduling. Whether it’s at her office or making house calls, I know I won’t have to turn our lives upside down to make appointments. We’ve tried other office facilities to seek treatment and found most offices to be cold and sterile. My daughter would get nervous and I was frequently told I would not be able to bring my older one with me, that I had to find a sitter. Sharon has been the complete opposite. She does not have a doctor’s office feel and welcomes both kids with open arms. The playful manner which Sharon uses makes my daughter feel welcome and not stressed that she’s doing something wrong . She includes my older daughter on the sessions which then my older daughter is able to help correct my younger one during their playtime. I’ve also done parent training with her to help teach me how I can better assist my daughter with her speech therapy. I’m really grateful that we found Sharon and will continue to use her services and recommend her.

Wonderful experience! Not only did our daughter advance and achieve our goals, but Sharon was so warm and caring, our daughter asked if she was family. Each session had purpose and taught us how to work on simple exercises in a fun playful way. Sharon establishes a great rapport with the whole family and engages with her with fun interactive games that keep her interested and excited to practice her sounds and words. She worked with us from 18 months to age 4. I absolutely recommend her.

I can't speak more highly of Sharon, and my 9 year old son would praise her even more. I had my son see a HWDSB school speech pathologist and the assessment indicated that everything was \fine\. But everything was not fine! He would slur his words, wouldn't articulate them, and it was increasingly frustrating for our family to have to continually ask him to repeat himself. Sharon immediately identified the root cause of the issue (jaw sliding) and put us on structured path towards correcting it. Her sessions were never boring or tedious for my son as she used a \play based\ approach to therapy that incorporated games and age appropriate tasks. My son would look forward to therapy sessions! Sharon also makes it clear at the beginning that success will only come when both the parent and child are involved and motivated. If either becomes frustrated, then progress might stall, or further gains will become increasingly difficult. Every session introduced something new, and Sharon has a very clear and concise way of explaining concepts to both my son and me. If you are a parent who has questions or doubts about your child's speech, I highly recommend that you see Sharon!
