I'm giving these a one-star review for being the slowest guy on the highway and sitting in the passing Lane the whole time. You might want to educate your drivers into the rules of the road.

Incredibly deceptive tactics! I gave precise instructions to the scope of the work I needed done over the phone including measurements and was quoted between 900-1100. I agreed and their worker was supposed to come out the next day between 1-3pm I got a call saying at 11AM saying the worker could be there in 30 min but I was still at work expecting the worker to arrive between 1 and 3pm. High Mark then said that the worker was now busy for the rest of the day and rescheduled for the next week. I spoke to the manager Scott and left explicit instructions that no work was to be started until I was given a firm number on what it would cost me and asked that they place those notes on the order sheet. Their guy David came out without any material scoped out the project and it was exactly what I said it would be and then left to get the material. He never went over the numbers on what it would cost and he just said he’s fully aware of what was required of him. Once he completed the job he gave me an invoice of 3,300!!!! That is 3 times more than what I was quoted. I saw on the job note it had stated that no work was to be started until the client was given a firm number on the cost. I took a photo of that for my reference. In front of my contractor, 3 workers and my girl friend he said he forgot to tell me what the pricing was going to be before starting the job. I had Scott call me back and told him that he can take all of the material away as I am not paying 3 times on what was quoted me. He called me back a few times but nothing has been resolved. Other companies I called quoted me around 1,000 for the same job. I am not impressed with the deceptive tactics of the High Mark organization uses and will not pay the invoice that was given to me for work that I did not sign off on.
Great service. They were available and accommodating within one day's notice. They called to confirm before the appointment which was a good thing. They arrived on time. Was quick and did a proper phone call follow up and survey. They are truly committed to quality customer care. My plumber actually did an extra little favor and installed a light i couldn't reach. He went the extra mile.
If it wasn’t for the surprise 98 snake (auger) fee to unclog my kitchen drain (which was refunded), this review would be 4 stars. The technician was polite and did good job, and receptionist politely answered my telephone queries. When I called for service, I was told 99 call-out fee and 75/half hour, so I was very surprised when the bill included a 98 snake rental fee. When you pay a plumber 75/half hour to unplug your drain, most people would assume this includes the cost of tools e.g. the snake. To his credit, Scott the manager is a reasonable person, and after the usual telephone tag and back ‘n forth, and me explaining that the 98 snake fee was not disclosed, he agreed to refund it. He also said he would remind front end staff to clearly state the snake fee. Scott said he was surprised the job took only 1 hour, so expect a minimum billing of 99 call-out fee 150 labour 98 snake fee for total 347 tax.
Heads-up: crazy pricing that's not transparent! It's 9975 174 for the first HALF hour. And if they have to come back the next day (not your fault), they may even bill you the 99 (site visit charge) again! They will bill you for travel to get the part from a "nearby store" - expect minimum 30 minutes. Plus NO invoice to substantiate the cost of the parts. Hit or miss with the technician or their timeliness. Details" - Didn't show up at the allotted 2 hour window of 1-3. When we called to follow up they scrambled to send someone. He shows up at 4pm, struggles to assess the situation - a drip from the tub faucet. Finally gets it off, then declares that he needs to get a part but the place closes at 4:30. Rushes to buy it, comes back - it's the wrong part. Gets on the phone with the office, finally says he has to come back tomorrow. - DIfferent person (thankfully) comes back the next day, with the right part, and gets it done in 32 minutes. - Bill for all of this? 526!! Labour for 90 minutes (including travel t"o the nearby" store) parts - no bill to back that up! Daylight robbery!
We recently had an issue with one our outdoor frost proof taps that had failed and needed to be replaced. I called High Mark at 9:00 AM and was able to make an appointment for later the same day. The tech ( Dave L.) showed up as scheduled and was pleasant, polite and efficient, even though I could tell he had already put in a hard day. We had to cut into the inside wall but he kept it to a minimum and quickly replaced and tested the tap and ensured it was properly caulked and that I was satisfied with his work. All in all you couldn't ask for better service. Gord.
Pretty useless. 1200 and five hours later, no idea what is wrong with the drain tile and their idea of a next step was 70K to dig up the entire system with no guarantee of finding the issue.
Call High Mark for a clog. Scheduled a appointment for that afternoon. They showed up on time and prepared. Job done quickly and the Tech took his time to ensure that the problem was really solved. Very friendly service person. Will definitely use this firm again.
