Simon Jenkins, author of ‘England’s Thousand Best Houses’, described Burton Agnes Hall as ‘the perfect English house’ and as one of England’s twenty finest houses alongside Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace and Chatsworth House. The many thousands of visitors who enjoy the Hall every year appear to agree with these sentiments.

One of the best attractions in the area, grand old house with stunning grounds. Visit in February to see the snowdrop carpet in the forest. Wood fired pizzas available in the outdoor eating area!

Fantastic stately home, privately owned, visited during covid 19 restrictions so the house wasn't open to the public. We went during Halloween so they had a brilliant ghostly trail for the kids with lots of displays and photo opportunities for them to enjoy, they have a great adventure playpark too to keep them entertained. Lovely gardens and woodland with fantastic views and easy to walk paths. Would recommend if you are wanting a fantastic day out.

We went on the candy cane walk and athe kids had a good play in the playground. It was really lovely peaceful and we had a cold but sunny day. It was a really lovely walk a break from the madness for a while. We timed it so we could see the house Christmas lights. they where lovely too. Really enjoyed our visit although a little expensive for us all it did not spoil a nice afternoon

Beautiful and peaceful place. Extensive gardens to walk around, including coloured areas, sensory, vegetables and normally games areas. House is currently not open due CV19. Lovely woodland walk as well with hand/chainsaw carved animals placed around. Well worth a visit. RHS Member 1 gets free access certain days.
