We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality, value and ambiance of Cordoba Steakhouse in Wandsbek. My husband and I ordered steaks (Rib-eye and Cordoba) they were cooked and spiced perfectly. The salads that came with them were fresh and the dressings were delicious without being overbearing. We ordered pommes and roasted potatoes with onion and bacon as sides. Both were fantastic! We sat on the pation on a beautiful sunny day, the staff were attentive without being superficial or overbearing. I'm Canadian and we love our steak, I've been disappointed by other restaurants in Germany so I also know what a bad steak here is. You won't regret your visit here. I highly recommend it.

Very disappointing visit to the Cordoba Steakhouse. First of all, the ambiance is lackluster and feels dated/old, the same goes for the furniture & decor. The service was visibly annoyed and lacked any kind of motivation. Subliminally one could feel they wanted to end their shifts as soon as possible, this especially became more apparent as our evening there progressed. As for the food, I ordered a filet steak, medium, which was served utterly under-cooked/raw. While the outer cooked part tasted fine, the center was cold to the touch und inedible. What annoyed me the most was the welcoming letter at the entrance from the owners. Apparently they hold themselves in high regard, despite the lack of finesse and quality, complaining about restaurants in central city such as Eppendorf and St. Pauli, propagating that their place is the best in town. Well, it isn't, and I won't be coming back to this particular location in Wandsbek, instead I'll visit a Steakhouse in Eppendorf with a proven track record.
