The staff was very nice and the trip was good too. The road to the top of Teide is licensed only and is free of charge and can be requested in advance online. We also bought the lift tickets online so we didn't have to queue. Parking is very difficult due to the large number of visitors, so it is worth at least 40 minutes before the cable car departs.

Nice view over the southern part of the island. From here you can reach the top in 700 m, but it's required a special permission from the natural park administration. As I was there, all trails were closed due snow and ice. It's definitely the main attraction of Tenerife. Just pick a sunny day and reserve tickets online.
The pictures show it all to be honest. There isn't much at the top, nowhere to get a drink. There is some toilets but that's it. Having paid 40.50 for myself and my 8year old, I wouldn't go again - it's a bit expensive in my opinion for what's up there. If there was a restaurant of coffee shop that you could sit in and enjoy the surroundings then fine but as there isn't it's a bit of a waste of money.
The drive to the station - it is definitely worth it but the extra 54 (for 2 adults) to wait 1hr to get on the cable car then see nothing extra compared to what you have already seen on your way up there isn't worth it. For hikers I'm sure it's great but for others it isn't.
After hiking up the volcano for 3 hours and 40 mins from Montana Blanca I was relieved to see this once I had reached the top And after all the pictures had been taken I just wanted to get back down the volcano , head straight for my hotel and jump in the shower and get some sleep as quickly as possible And thanks to the cable car it made my dream a lot more achievable Jumped straight in the cue bought my ticket Handed it over to the ticket inspector and just waited to board Whilst inside you get an amazing view And before you know it you've reached the bottom Maybe not for people who are claustrophobic because the car takes a maximum amount of people up and down the volcano and that's exactly how many get crammed in like little sardines in a tin Overall would definitely use it again
