There are a lot of people. Be prepared for some waiting time. It is not realy possible to keep the covid distance. 850.000VND for the train ride to the cable car station and the cable car is okay if the weather and the view is good. We knew it before, that most of the time there is too much fog around the fansipan. Unfortunately we were very unlucky and could not see anything. You have to walk up 700 steps to reach the top.

Outrageous views and stunning world record holder cable car. If you’re lucky enough to ascend 3200m and have a view, then count your blessings. Clouds and mist roll through like a surreal landscape. Simply stunning. ENTIRE views of Sapa valley as you ascend. 1,000,000 VND for entire round trip ascent of funicular, tram, and cable car.

It's a beautiful building and extra 100,000VND train ticket to Sum world then just could go to cable car. We join local tour and took us to cable car station directly.

If you're in Sapa, you really have to do this. So often the highest point in Indo China is shrouded in cloud, as it was when we did the trip, but some people are lucky and get cloudless views. The whole trip is pretty flawless and comfortable. Limited food choice when you are at the top.

It was an expensive trip but totally worth it! The views from the top ON A CLEAR DAY are absolutely stunning. The cable car ride itself was about 20 minutes high above the valleys and trees and so amazing. There is food available at a restaurant up there but quite expensive. Note: it is very cold at the top, even on a warm day in Sapa. We were not prepared for this and regretted not bringing a jacket or sweater.

We were a little reluctant as to whether to go as the clouds were very low, glad we did. We had some views in between the clouds on the way up that gave a hint of the amazing scenery but the summit was think fog. We still enjoyed the climb up the steps past some temples and statues swamped in fog. It had an eerie feel and made for some interesting photos! Would have been nice to see the cloud inversion, but we only had the two days in Sapa and the weather was the same both days
