Loki Cafe!! The God of mischief!! The Cafe is so nice. We just got attracted with the name and it's menu. Icelandic food, Personally I liked it. It was so nice. You can check it in photos. Many people beside me from different table complained about the taste. But for me it was Good. And, I loved the desert . I can give rating as: Price: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Location: 5/5 Service: 4/5 There is also some free post card available with the beautiful photos of Iceland and Story of Asgard. You can take it with you as souvenir.

I definitely loved it. I highly recommend going there to try some traditional Icelandic dishes. We ordered the lamb soup (they call it meat soup) and the Icelandic platter (it has some rye bread small sandwiches, one with mashed fish and the other one with herring and egg, as well it has rye bread ice cream, tasted like vanilla and cookie ice cream). Everything was delicious would definitely want to try again. They also serve fermented shark but didn’t have the courage to try. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Price wise, might have been a bit expensive but also you have to consider how close you are to the cathedral.

There are many restaurants and cafes to enjoy in Reykjavik, but nowhere else is there such a winning combination of authentic Icelandic food and stunning views as you'll find at Cafe Loki. Located just yards away from the iconic Hallgrimskirkja church at the top of the hill, Cafe Loki has been a firm favourite of mine since my first visit in 2012 - and it's still going strong now. I've enjoyed many lunches here over the years, and on my most recent trip, I opted for the slow-roasted lamb shank, which came with buttered potatoes, carrots, turnips and a rich gravy. It was just as good as it looked, with the melt-in-the-mouth meat cooked to perfection, pleasingly accompanied by the spot-on vegetables. Sat by the window, the excellent food was enhanced by the sensational sight of the rocket-ship shaped church just across the road - this really is "food with a view". The service was great with friendly staff on hand, backed by an enjoyably jaunty soundtrack of Icelandic music too. I also managed to find room for a dessert, choosing the rye bread ice-cream dish, which was flecked with chocolate, and drizzled with rhubarb syrup - another mouthwatering selection. Many things have changed in Reykjavik over the last few months, as we've seen everywhere else in the world. Cafe Loki remains the same as it ever was - the home of authentic Icelandic cuisine, with the best view of Reykjavik's most famous landmark. Takk fyrir for that!

Went on a search for Icelandic pancakes and ended up at this little unassuming cafe. Servers were pleasant and welcoming. Atmosphere was casual. Pancakes were served cold which was unexpected, but they were delicious served with cream and jam.

Is you're looking for good Icelandic traditional good, this is a place for you. This is just across the chapel and you get a nice view of it from the restaurant. The food is amazing. I ordered a vegetarian bagel and a herb tea. Soups are delicious too. Also you should definitely try their rye bread and skyr pancakes.

Amazing food. The sheep's head jelly was a little tough to eat, but the rotten shark was very nice. I recommend a Farmer's Coffee. The Brennivin helps. Rye Bread ice cream is also wonderful.

So, so, so, so good!!! Wish I found this place at the start of my trip here, would have gone here everyday!! The Þór Plate was phenomenal, I strongly recommend it! Had the rye bread ice-cream with cream and rhubarb syrup which ended up in me buying three of the bottles of syrup they have available to purchase as well as a bag of tea. I also got to try the fermented shark which honestly was incredible! I would have happily kept on eating that had I not ran out of it! Kind of smokey but cooling and immensely flavourful! Definitely a must try as the menu suggests. Going to come back here on my next holiday here!
